The International Computer Driving License (ICDL) program is a training & certification process that validates an individuals proficiency utilizing desktop computing applications.
An
ICDL certification shows that you have mastered the fundamental
concepts of Information Technology (IT), and are able to use
a
personal computer and standard desktop computing applications
at a fundamental level of competence.
ICDL Certification tells a prospective employer
that the applicant has passed:
One (1) theoretical test that assesses knowledge
of the fundamental concepts of Information
Technology (IT),
and
Six (6) performance-based tests that validates an individuals
competence in using a personal computer and
working with standard desktop software applications.
